Beard Transplant procedure

 

Beard transplant procedure is carried much like hair transplant treatment, combined with the delicacy and precision of transplanting hairs onto the eyebrows.

Hair is removed from the scalp using FUE, comprising one or two hairs at a time. These units are then inserted into 1-2 mm long incisions along the cheek or jawbone.

Facial hair transplants: Beard and Moustache Transplant

 

Beard and moustache are important features of male aesthetics. After famous people appeared in various TV channels with beards and moustaches, these become very trendy in various countries.

 

Following this trend many patients with sparse beards or without beards went to the hair transplant clinics.

 

It is possible to undergo a hair transplant procedure on the beard area, if patients genetically do not have beards, if they have burns or scars as results of some traumas. The alopecia areata, so called circular hair loss, is based on psychological reasons. In such cases, if the hair does not grow again because of traumatic shavings, a scar as result of incidents and of some medical treatments and medications, we can expect the hair loss on the face. In the case of not growing the hair on the face, grafts are removed from the area between two ears and the neck and are transplanted with the FUE technique on the hairless areas on the face, like in the hair transplant procedure on the head. Here the density of hair and giving the right direction to the hair are important. For these reasons thousand of grafts are transplanted carefully on the hairless area of the head. The healing process takes place between 7-10 days. After the 15th day of the procedure patients can begin with shaving the hair.
